Talking about the security of Artsakh Armenians is senseless if it is disconnected from the right to self-determination, Tatoyan

Former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan wrote on his Facebook page: "It is meaningless to talk about the rights and security of the indigenous people of Artsakh, the Armenians of Artsakh, if they are segregated or severed from the natural right to self-determination.

Self-determination is the basis of the security and rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, and the true guarantee of those rights is a status for Artsakh that has no connection with Azerbaijan. Everything else constitutes an unrealistic agenda regarding the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, which is driven by Azerbaijani interests and ignores their genocidal policies.

Therefore, the more issues related to the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh are pushed forward disconnected from the right to self-determination, the greater the existential threats to our compatriots will become, and the stronger Azerbaijani falsehoods and manipulations will be solidified."
