Putin, Macron, and Scholz Discuss Food Security Situation
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, have discussed in detail the situation regarding global food security, according to the Kremlin's press service.
"The situation in the sphere of providing global food security has been thoroughly examined. Vladimir Putin explained the real causes of the difficulties related to food supply, which are the result of erroneous economic and financial policies, particularly those of Western countries, including the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by them," the report states.
During the conversation, it was also noted that Russia is prepared to assist in finding ways for uninterrupted grain exports, including the export of Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports. It is emphasized that increasing the supply of Russian fertilizers and agricultural products will also help reduce tensions in the global food market, which will require the removal of the corresponding sanctions restrictions.
