What Concessions Does Moscow Expect from Kyiv? Peskov Comments
Moscow wants Kyiv to acknowledge the real situations of Russian-speaking royalty. "Moscow expects Kyiv to accept Moscow's demands and to recognize the de facto situation, the real situation that exists," said Peskov in response to a question about what concessions Moscow expects from Kyiv.
"These are not territorial concessions; Kyiv must, once again I repeat, recognize the de facto situation and simply take a sober assessment," Peskov added when asked if this also relates to territorial concessions, reported RIA Novosti.
Russia began military operations in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin named the goal as the "protection of people who have been subjected to violence and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years." According to him, this aims to implement the "demilitarization and denationalization of Ukraine," holding accountable all military criminals responsible for the "bloody crimes against civilians in Donbas."
