Opposition Invites Government to Parliament: Extraordinary Session in the Works

The opposition factions in the Armenian National Assembly, 'Hayastan' and 'Pativ Unem', plan to convene an extraordinary session next week.

This was stated by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a member of the 'Resistance' movement and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, during a briefing with journalists at France Square. 'We will return to the Parliament with our agenda and demand an extraordinary session next week. I will discuss this in detail in the evening. I hereby announce: if they are men, let them come. I invite the government to Parliament, but on our agenda, not on their fake and fabricated agenda,' Saghatelyan said in response to a question from the government regarding why the opposition is not attending Parliament or participating in Q&A sessions with the government.

He emphasized that they are not avoiding going to the Parliament; rather, they are avoiding being part of fake agendas.
