David Tonoyan's Lawyers Release Statement, Will Publish Documents

The legal team representing former Defense Minister David Tonoyan has issued a statement.

“In the case of former Defense Minister David Tonoyan and others, the defense has acquired irrefutable evidence obtained from a competent state body, which confirms the operational timelines of the disputed missiles at the time of their acquisition. According to the charges presented, David Tonoyan, having served as the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia from 2010 to 2016 and being aware of the expiration of the calendar deadlines of those missiles at the time of procurement, has engaged in the acquisition of missiles that were out of service life and did not meet technical specifications. However, as already mentioned, several official sources, including an official letter obtained from a domestic competent body, have confirmed that the specified missiles had not exceeded their service life, and moreover, the missiles complied with all technical norms.

After being presented in court, the defense will also publish the aforementioned documents,” the statement reads.
