Shots Fired in Yerevan: Police Pursue Ford Loaded with Stolen Goods Worth Millions

Today, on May 24, a detective genre incident occurred in Yerevan. Officers from the Nor Nork division of the police received information that a theft was about to take place at the location belonging to the "Armentel" company in the Dzhrvaj neighborhood. According to Shamshyan.com, the police arrived at the moment when a Ford vehicle loaded with stolen goods was exiting the designated area.

The police instructed the drivers of the Ford vehicles to stop; however, the drivers, disregarding the police's legal demands, attempted to flee. A pursuit began, with additional assistance from the patrol units of the Armenian police.

The chase continued onto Davit Bek Street. The patrol officers repeatedly used a loudspeaker to instruct the fleeing suspects to stop, but they once again did not comply and kept fleeing. The police and patrol officers pursued the suspicious Ford for about 4 kilometers. Patrol officer R. Aloyan, who was also driving a service vehicle, fired warning shots into the air. When this did not alert the Ford's driver, he began shooting precisely at the Ford's tires. As a result, the Ford's driver lost control of the vehicle, collided with basalt curbs, then trees, and after about 200 meters of rolling over, ended up in front of the "Bakos" restaurant complex.

After overturning, the vehicle's driver, a passenger beside him, and several individuals in the rear section attempted to escape. However, the police and patrol units managed to apprehend and neutralize several of them, who were then taken to the Nor Nork police station.

Large copper cables and a pair of scissors designed for cutting special cable wires, which are believed to be instruments of crime, were discovered in the overturned vehicle. For the sake of the investigation, we are not disclosing the identities of the apprehended and wanted individuals at this time, but the estimated value of the stolen goods is around 4 million drams.
