Azerbaijan Sends Complaints to International Sports Organizations Over Artsakh Flag Display
Azerbaijan seems displeased that the flag of Artsakh was waved during the boxing championship taking place in Yerevan, and they have filed complaints about it.
The artificial Azerbaijan Boxing Federation has sent letters of complaint to the International Olympic Committee, the International Boxing Association, the European Boxing Confederation, and member countries, regarding the display of the Artsakh flag by young Armenians during the opening of the European Boxing Championship in Yerevan. This was reported by Pastinfo.
In the letter addressed to the aforementioned sports organizations, it is stated, “The host country has committed a provocative act during the opening ceremony of the championship, displaying the flag of an unrecognized, fabricated entity as Armenia’s territorial claim against Azerbaijan.”
It is worth mentioning that during the opening ceremony of the European Boxing Championship held in Yerevan, a few young people unexpectedly appeared on stage and revealed the Artsakh flag while the Chief of Staff for the Government, Arayik Harutyunyan, was delivering his speech. Moments later, the young individuals left the platform.
This patriotic act by those youths has stirred up a significant uproar in the Azerbaijani domain for several days now, and they are now officially sending notes of protest to international organizations from the neighboring country. In any case, all of this once again demonstrates how terrified Azerbaijanis are of patriotic Armenians and everything related to Artsakh.
