Brutal Murder in Gyumri: Husband Inflicts Multiple Stab Wounds on Wife Near Church

On May 22, a murder occurred in the Shirak province. Around 22:25, the police received a call from the emergency department in Gyumri indicating that a medical team had responded to a call in the 58th neighborhood, where a stabbing incident had taken place, resulting in a deceased individual.

According to Shamshyan.com, police discovered a woman's body in one of the buildings on Paruyr Sevak Street in that neighborhood. Preliminary conclusions from the forensic examination indicated six stab wounds in the abdomen and one in the jaw.

Police and investigators quickly established that the victim was a 43-year-old resident of the address, named Siranush M. While officers were searching for the murderer, a citizen approached a community police officer and stated that he had just killed his wife.

According to Shamshyan's information, the perpetrator of the murder is identified as 50-year-old Andranik E., a resident of Shirak province.

A criminal case has been initiated at the Shirak regional investigative department of Armenia's Investigative Committee under Article 104, Part 1 of the Criminal Code. Andranik E. has been arrested by the decision of the investigator.
