Investigation Committee's Stalemate Will Be Broken Today: ‘Hraparak’
‘Hraparak’ newspaper reports that the stalemate of the investigation committee examining the circumstances of the 44-day war will be broken today, as the committee has called a meeting. If there are no surprises, it can be said that the first working session will be held today.
It should be noted that the committee was formed back in February, has held only one meeting, and then went underground. The chairman of the committee, Andranik Kocharyan, who is also the chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee, has been telling the media during this time that they are discussing the work procedures and requesting materials from the Ministry of Defense, and once all that is complete, they will start the actual work.
Opposition members, as is known, have boycotted the activities, while the authorities' hope rests on certain extra-parliamentary figures. It is expected that Davit Sanasaryan and Norair Norikyan will participate in today's meeting, while our sources indicate that the removal of Samvel Babayan, the former secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh, from the committee has shuffled certain cards. The authorities are doing everything they can to ensure that Davit Sanasaryan and Norik Norikyan do not follow Babayan.
