Request to Arrest Nikol Pashinyan Sent from Prosecutor General's Office to Military Prosecutor's Office: Lawyer
A group of parents of soldiers who died in the 44-day Artsakh war has closed Babayan Street. They were summoned for questioning today.
Lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan stated that a request to arrest Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has been sent from the Prosecutor General’s office to the military prosecutor's office, and they received the notification on Friday.
“According to the military prosecutor's office, it was sent yesterday both to the lawyers and to the investigative department. However, the investigator claims that they have not received such a request. We believe the military prosecutor's office that the notification has been sent. This means that the request to arrest and question Pashinyan has not been postponed, but no actions are being taken,” Hovhannisyan said.
According to him, today it was clarified that Pashinyan has not yet been questioned.
Now the parents are demanding that the investigator come down to meet with them and provide clarifications.
The father of one of the deceased soldiers who left the questioning mentioned that they will be brought in and hit there: “I was told that they still need to clarify some circumstances before arresting Pashinyan. They said that there are still no grounds,” the man said.
