Landslide Occurs on Goris-Kapan Highway

On May 13, at 17:56, a report was received at the Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center regarding a landslide that occurred in the morning at the 21st km of the Goris-Kapan highway, in the village of Khotanan, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

An operational group from the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene.

Employees of the Goris Traffic and Safety Services have carried out clearing works on the road segment; the road is now open for two-way traffic. Rescuers have cordoned off the area.
