Search Operations for 2 Missing Persons in Lake Sevan Temporarily Halted

On May 11, at 05:40, a group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department, a combat unit from a special water rescue squad, and an operational team were dispatched to the scene to resume search operations in Lake Sevan. By 08:00, the search efforts had recommenced.

The search operations involved 19 rescuers from the special water rescue squad and the special rescue operations center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as one boat from the 'Sevan' National Park and another provided by a private citizen. However, the search operations have been temporarily halted.

It is worth noting that a call was received by the Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center on May 6 at 18:16, reporting that two individuals had departed from the coastal area between the villages of Vardenik and Zolakar in a boat and had not returned.
