Major Car Accident in Ararat Province: UAZ Rolls About 600 Meters into a Gorge, Four Injured, One is an Electric Company Director
On May 8, a major car accident occurred in Ararat Province. Around 15:30, a 46-year-old resident of Ararat, Yeghishe Karapetyan, lost control of his UAZ vehicle in the area of the "Aghkilisa" hill located within the administrative territory of the village of Lanjanist. For reasons yet to be clarified, he veered off the road and rolled approximately 600 meters down into a gorge.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, driver Yeghishe Karapetyan and passengers Yuri Soghomonyan (35), Grisha Manukyan (35), and Garegin Yepryemyan (43), all residents of Ararat Province, were transported to the Vedi Medical Center with bodily injuries. After receiving necessary medical assistance, they were transferred to the 'Erebuni' Medical Center.
According to G. Shamshyan, among the injured, Yuri Soghomonyan is the director of the "Araks" branch of the Electric Networks of Armenia.
