The Head of the Special Police Force Will Be Summoned by the Investigative Committee
The newspaper "Jhoghovurd" reports that, according to its information, the Investigative Committee of Armenia will summon the head of the Special Police Force, Sargis Hovhannisyan, in the coming days to provide explanations regarding his actions.
After examining the evidence and grounds, the committee will decide whether to initiate a criminal case or not. It is known that Sargis Hovhannisyan, who is known for using violence against participants during protests, applied force against journalist Nare Gevorgyan and operator Arman Galajyan at the intersection of Baghramyan and Proshyan streets during peaceful protests yesterday, as well as threatened one of the protest participants.
All evidence related to this incident is with the Investigative Committee, and it is hard to imagine on what grounds the initiation of a criminal case could be denied, as the elements of a crime are evident.
