Major Car Accident and Fire in Ararat Province: Family Hospitalized, Vehicle Reduced to Ashes

Today, April 30, a major car accident and fire occurred in Ararat Province. At around 07:00, an Opel Zafira vehicle traveling towards Yerevan on the Yerevan-Eraskh highway, approximately 17 km from the capital, veered off the road in the administrative area of Marmarashen village, ended up in a field, and subsequently collided with a concrete electric pole.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the collision, the vehicle overturned, and five individuals, three of whom are children, were rescued from the car with the help of bystanders. A medical team from Masis Hospital arrived promptly, providing first aid on-site before transporting the injured to the “Saint Astvatsamayr” Medical Center in Yerevan, where two individuals were later transferred to “Erebuni” Medical Center. The impact also caused the concrete electric pole to topple, and a fire broke out in the car.

Authorities are investigating the identities of the driver and the injured individuals. According to reports, the victims are a couple along with their three children, residing in the village of Nalbandyan in Armavir Province. The vehicle was moved to the police's specialized site in Masis, with the assistance of citizens and a tow truck, following the orders of the investigator.
