Identity of Pregnant Woman and Officer Involved in Fatal Accident Revealed
The identity of the driver involved in the fatal accident that occurred yesterday at the intersection of Paronyan and Leo streets in Yerevan, as well as that of the deceased pregnant woman, has been revealed.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver of the Toyota Prado was identified as 51-year-old Aram Navasardyan, a resident of Ararat province, while the victim was identified as 29-year-old Sona Mnatsakanyan, also from Ararat province.
Under the investigator's directive, the Toyota Prado, which had police license plates, has been moved to the special area protected by the Yerevan unit of the Armenian police's patrol service. As reported by G. Shamshyan, driver A. Navasardyan works in the escort squad of the road police as a commander and holds the rank of major. Additionally, it has been reported that the deceased had no involvement or connection to the protests and road closures occurring in Yerevan.
Following the investigator’s order, the driver involved in the accident has been arrested.
