What Causes the Decline in the Agriculture Sector: Deputy Minister of Economy Explains

The decline in the agriculture sector has primarily been attributed not to ineffective implementation of programs, but rather to drought. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gabrielyan during a meeting with journalists on April 26.

He explained that this situation has led to a decrease in production. Additionally, he noted that exporters of alcoholic beverages have been affected due to the depreciation of the ruble. 'However, there is no such problem now,' assured the official.

It is worth mentioning that the decline in the agro-industrial complex of Armenia was recorded at 5.4 percent in January-March 2022.
