Police Detain Activists

A group of young members from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Youth Union and the ARF "Nikol Aghbalyan" Student Union were detained by the police using disproportionate force during a protest.

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Youth Union reports that five members of their youth organization were taken to the Arabkir police station for conducting a peaceful awareness-raising action.

Auroranews contacted Zardand Gabrielian, the head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Armenian Police, who stated in an interview that four individuals were actually detained.
