Road Closures on April 23 and 24: Police Announcement

In connection with the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, traffic will be restricted on several streets in the capital starting from April 23 at 7:30 PM to ensure the safety of participants in the torchlit procession. This was announced by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

Specifically, traffic will be partially restricted on Republic Square, Amiryan Street, Mashtots and Baghramyan Avenues, and Kyiv Street.

In addition, to ensure the safety of participants in the commemoration ceremony at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial on April 24, starting from 6:00 AM, traffic will be prohibited on the direction from Leningradian Street to Tsitsernakaberd Highway, from the intersection of Isakov and Athens Streets to Athens Street, from the bridge near Yerevan Hydroelectric Plant in the Hrazdan Gorge towards Isakov Avenue, and on Verfel Street towards Brazil Square.

Furthermore, on the same day, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, access to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial will be closed to ensure the safety of participants in the state ceremonial event.
