Putin and European Council President Discuss Nagorno-Karabakh Issue
Russian President Vladimir Putin and European Council President Charles Michel have discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and reaffirmed the fundamental importance of the implementation of trilateral agreements between Yerevan, Baku, and Moscow, according to the Kremlin's press service, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"The issue of ensuring stability and security in Nagorno-Karabakh has also been addressed, taking into account the recent interactions between Vladimir Putin and Charles Michel with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The agreements of November 9, 2020, between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia were reaffirmed on January 11 and November 26, 2021," the statement said.
It is noted that Putin also announced the commencement of projects to restore economic and transport links, as well as the start of negotiations on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the development of a peace treaty between the two countries.
