Explosion at Mosque in Afghanistan Results in Over 30 Casualties
Over 30 individuals have been killed and injured as a result of an explosion at a mosque in the Kunduz province of northern Afghanistan, reports Tolo News.
Earlier on Friday, Ariana News cited the provincial director of information and culture, reporting that the explosion occurred at a mosque in Kunduz, with casualties reported.
Hafiz Omar, the police chief of the Imam Sahib district in Kunduz province, stated without further details that the explosion took place at the Mawlavi Sekandar mosque at noon. Security sources and eyewitnesses have indicated that more than 30 people have died or been wounded as a result of the incident. Eyewitnesses reported that the injured have been transferred to a regional hospital, according to the television channel.
