Zelensky is not sure that a large-scale battle has begun in Donbas

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not confident that a large-scale battle has started in Donbas. In an interview with the French BFM TV channel, Zelensky stated that the current Armed Forces of Ukraine are unable to lift the blockade of Mariupol through military means.

According to him, Russia's blockade of Mariupol resembles more of a "terrorist act by Russia" than a war, as besides Ukrainian defenders, children and elderly people are also trapped in the city. The state leader cited the city of Volnovakha, which has been destroyed by the Russians, as an example.
