Zahharova Highlights the Main Countries Supplying Mercenaries to Ukraine
NATO member countries are doing everything they can to delay the active phase of the special operation in Ukraine by increasing the supply of military equipment and weapons, said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a briefing on Wednesday, as reported by TASS.
“Contrary to statements that the military operations in Ukraine should be concluded soon, NATO countries are doing everything to postpone the active phase of the operation. I mean they are increasing the supply of military equipment, weapons, and ammunition. The Kyiv regime will continue its aggression against Donetsk and Luhansk and carry out new neo-Nazi military crimes,” she stated.
Zakharova noted that since the beginning of the Russian special military operation, Ukrainian authorities have recruited about 7,000 foreign mercenaries from 63 countries.
“Since the beginning of the special military operation, the Kyiv regime has drawn about 7,000 foreign mercenaries to Ukraine, according to open data, from 63 states,” she said.
According to Zakharova, the largest groups of these mercenaries come from Poland, the USA, Canada, Romania, the UK, and Georgia. “During the military operations, the number of foreign militants decreases. The Russian armed forces have already eliminated about a thousand mercenaries. Another thousand have refused to participate in military operations and returned to their former extremist locations,” she reported.
