Macron Expresses Willingness to Visit Kyiv

French President Emmanuel Macron is ready to travel to Kyiv, but this visit will only be possible when he can contribute to progress in the resolution, said French government spokesman Gabriel Attal, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“President Macron has said he is willing to go to Kyiv again when it makes sense, when this visit can contribute to progress in the resolution,” Attal stated during an appearance on France Info channel.

At the same time, he avoided answering whether such a visit could be the first if Macron is re-elected as head of state. The first round of the presidential elections in France took place on April 10. According to the final data from the French Ministry of the Interior, current President Emmanuel Macron received 27.84% of the votes, while Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Rally party, garnered 23.15%. The second round is set to take place on April 24.
