Before or After Lunch: Kadyrov Confident that Azovstal Will Come Under Russian Armed Forces Control

Chechnya's leader Ramzan Kadyrov has announced that the Azovstal plant in Mariupol will come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces today, either before or after lunch.

“I want to share good news: tomorrow, or rather today, before lunch or after lunch, Azovstal will fully come under the control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Everything is ready, the strategy is in place, the soldiers are ready, it’s just a matter of time, and that’s it,” Kadyrov said in a voice message published on his Telegram channel.

He also expressed confidence that if the militants at Azovstal lay down their arms in the morning, the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces, headed by the Supreme Commander, will make the best and correct decision.

The Russian Armed Forces, guided by humanitarian principles, have repeatedly offered Ukrainian nationalist fighters and remaining foreign mercenaries at the Azovstal plant to cease hostilities and lay down their arms in exchange for saving their lives.
