Our Goal is Neither Vahagn Aleksanyan nor Vigen Khachatryan: Abrahamyan
KP representative Vahagn Aleksanyan today referred to my and Haik Mamicanyan's comments during a briefing at the National Assembly. This was highlighted by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the "I Have Honor" faction, on Facebook.
“My colleague Haik Mamicanyan provided details in the National Assembly today about the opposition and specifically our faction's upcoming actions, where he noted that these actions and events must be calculated, adding that we have 'one opportunity to shoot.' Yes, we have 'one opportunity to shoot' because we must act in a way that our steps not only do not bring disappointment to the public but serve their purpose,” he wrote.
To a clarifying question from a journalist about what this 'shot' refers to and whom it is directed at, I interjected from my seat: 'To Nikol.' Haik elaborated, understanding that the government wants to hear formulations from our mouths, which could lead to other issues, although we do not care about the deprivation of immunity. Still, the topic was about something else.
If Vahagn Aleksanyan wants to show that he does not understand the context of the topic, to put it mildly, I do not believe it. If the authorities have a problem with starting arrests these days, it doesn’t matter, I am personally ready. I repeat: our goal is neither Vahagn Aleksanyan nor the others, not even Vigen Khachatryan, who is the record holder for anti-state statements. Our sole goal is Nikol Pashinyan, whose removal has no alternative.
Regarding the exclusion of new October 27s, I will say briefly: do not mix us up with you. It is very good that you are paying attention to our statements, but representing it according to preferences is, to put it mildly, commendable,” he concluded.
