Large Fire in Yerevan: Two Firefighter Crews Arrive
On April 13th, a large fire broke out in Yerevan. At approximately 14:25, the Emergency Situations Ministry's 911 crisis management center received a report of a fire at number 141/5 Sarkavag Street.
According to shamshyan.com, two firefighter crews from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Unit, number 11, responded promptly. Representatives from Gazprom Armenia's Yerevan Gas Distribution Company and the Armenian Electric Networks company also arrived rapidly. Additionally, an emergency medical team from Yerevan was dispatched to the scene.
The firefighters first prevented the fire from spreading and then extinguished it. The blaze consumed 250 kg of sawdust stored in a garage owned by Kamo Hambardzumyan, along with 50 square meters of accumulated waste in the yard, one cubic meter of firewood, and two fruit trees were scorched.
Fortunately, according to preliminary information, there were no reported injuries.
