New Details Emerge in the Death of Russian Lawyer

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has released new details regarding the death of a Russian citizen found a week ago in an apartment on Agatangeghos Street in Yerevan.

According to Vardan Tadevosyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, initial findings indicate no signs of violence on the body. Preliminary assumptions suggest it was a suicide, as the Russian citizen was found in a closet, hanging.

“Currently, we are awaiting the results of a forensic examination, and materials are being prepared,” Tadevosyan stated.

It is noteworthy that media reports had indicated the deceased was Viktoria Popova, a lawyer from Yekaterinburg. She lived in a rented apartment in Yerevan, where the body was discovered.

Viktoria's body was found by a friend living in Yerevan, who had been unable to reach her for a long time. Upon visiting her apartment, the friend heard her phone ringing near the door but received no response, prompting them to call the police.
