The Section of the Kapan Road Handed Over to Azerbaijan Is No Longer Passable: 'Hraparak'

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that the 21-kilometer section of the Goris-Kapan highway, which was handed over to the Azerbaijanis by Nikol Pashinyan after the 44-day war, has become an abandoned road. The Azerbaijani side has installed barbed wire and concrete barriers, indicating that neither Armenians nor large Iranian trucks are passing through these roads.

Initially, high-ranking officials of the Republic of Armenia assured that we could also use this road by paying customs duties. It turns out that was a lie.

Armenian and Azerbaijani border guards are stationed on both sides of the road. Judging by a photograph taken two days ago, this section of the Goris-Kapan road is no longer passable.

It should be reminded that the takeover of this road has also isolated the villages of Shurnukh, Vorotan, and Bardzravan, which have become enclaves relying on difficult-to-navigate alternative roads.

For more details, see today's issue of the newspaper.
