German Farmers Discuss Rising Prices of Fertilizers and Fuel
German farmers have shared concerns with RT regarding the escalating prices of fertilizers and diesel fuel, attributed to the ongoing Ukrainian crisis and anti-Russian sanctions.
“Prices have skyrocketed by 300 percent, which means that the cost of vegetables must increase to cover additional expenses,” said one farmer. “From cardboard to diesel fuel and logistics, everything is becoming increasingly expensive.”
It has been noted that German farmers are attempting to pass some of the additional costs onto the final consumer. Earlier, French National Assembly member Pierre Watene expressed concerns about the rising prices of nitrogen fertilizers for farmers.
