Investigations Underway in the Murder of a 55-Year-Old Resident of Goris
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia is conducting investigations and other procedural actions within the framework of a criminal case initiated under Article 104, Part 1, and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code regarding the murder of a 55-year-old resident of Goris. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee.
A call regarding the incident was received on April 10, 2022, at 23:20 from the Goris Medical Center, indicating that a 1966-born resident of Goris had been admitted with wounds described as 'a gunshot injury to the anterior surface of the right half of the chest and a left axillary wound', and was pronounced dead.
During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case, the scene of the incident was examined, revealing shell casings. A forensic examination of the deceased's body has been commissioned, and several individuals have been interrogated. Necessary measures are being taken to identify the individual suspected of committing the crime, locate them, and present them to the relevant authorities. The investigation is ongoing.
