Video: Arush Arushanyan Released, Will Not Be Able to Lead Goris Community
On March 28, the judge of the Syunik Regional Court, Gnel Gasparyan, announced the verdict in the case of Arush Arushanyan. The sentence of 6 months and 12 days of imprisonment will not be enforced conditionally; instead, a probation period will be stipulated, and he was released from the courtroom.
According to the ruling, however, upon his release, Arushanyan will not be able to lead the Goris community.
The prosecutor had demanded that Arushanyan be found guilty and sentenced to 9 years and 6 months of imprisonment, while the defense had requested his acquittal in their statements.
