Zakhrova Calls for Resolution of Gas Supply Issues in Artsakh
The parties should not exacerbate the already tense situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakhrova, during a press briefing, responding to a question from News regarding the violation of the contact line by Azerbaijani armed forces in the village of Parukh, Askeran district on March 24.
The situation should be assessed by military experts and the peacekeeping forces deployed there. Neither side should deepen the already complicated and tense situation.
Regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Artsakh, Zakhrova mentioned that Russia is in contact with both parties. "We call for the prompt resolution of the gas supply issue in the region. Relevant work is underway through the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Energy, and Gazprom. We believe that the already complicated humanitarian situation should not be worsened, and ordinary people should not suffer," she said.
