Shoigu and Papikyan Discuss the Situation in Artsakh

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had a telephone conversation with Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It was noted that the two ministers discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"The heads of the military departments discussed the situation in the region and the area of deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed," the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

It is worth reminding that as of today, at 16:00, the armed forces of Azerbaijan violated the line of contact towards the village of Parukh in the Askeran region. Due to security concerns, women and children from the Kharamort community in the Askeran region were evacuated.
