Video: Sheep Stolen in a Toyota - Driver and Passenger Taken to Ashtarak Police Station

The criminal investigators of Ashtarak received operational information about a theft that occurred in the village of Oshakan, Aragatsotn province. On March 19, at 10:15 AM, they stopped a Toyota vehicle in Oshakan. The 27-year-old driver was a resident of Echmiadzin, while the passenger was a 17-year-old from Oshakan. There was another individual in the vehicle; all three, along with the car, were taken to the Ashtarak police station.

This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia. Upon further investigation at the police station, it became clear that on the night of March 17, they had stolen batteries from various cars in Oshakan, and during the night of March 19, they had stolen six heads of sheep, one of which was in the vehicle.

Subsequent measures led to the recovery of the batteries from metal collection sites. The identity of the sheep owner was also established, and a report was taken from him. The sheep were found in the backyard of the young man from Echmiadzin, but only four of them were recovered. According to the young men, the sixth sheep had escaped. Details of the case are under investigation.
