Video: Men from Gyumri Wanted for Murder Found in Yerevan

The criminal investigators of the Erebuni division of the police acted on operational intelligence together with the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan police and special forces. On March 26, two men aged 24 and 29 from Gyumri were found in one of the residential buildings on Tigran Mets Avenue and were taken into custody by the Yerevan police.

They had been wanted by the police since March 3 on murder charges. The police reported this.

Recall that on February 27, an emergency medical team transported 34-year-old Vahagn Harutyunyan to the “Gyumri” medical center with a diagnosis of “upper third stab wound to the right thigh, biological death.”

On March 2, a criminal case was initiated at the Shirak regional investigative department based on the features of Article 104, Part 2, Points 7 and 10 of the Criminal Code.

As a result of operational-search activities and investigative actions carried out by the criminal investigators of the Shirak regional police and Kumayri division, it became established that the alleged perpetrators of the murder were the 24 and 29-year-old men from Gyumri, for whom a search was announced on March 3.

They have been detained and transferred to a correctional facility. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case continues.
