When Will the Putin-Zelensky Meeting Take Place? Podolyak Provides Clarification
The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may take place after the completion of work on an agreement, possibly in the coming weeks, Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the head of Zelensky's office, stated in an interview with Wirtualna Polska.
“As soon as the work on the agreement is completed, we will move on to organizing the meeting, and it will occur in the coming weeks,” Podolyak said, adding that the location of the meeting holds no significance for the Ukrainian side.
“It can be held anywhere, except Russia,” Podolyak clarified. “After we outline the fundamentals of a peace treaty, we will think about the appropriate model of behavior for the presidents during the meeting. The handshake is the least of our concerns,” he said, responding to a question about whether the Ukrainian president will shake hands with the Russian president during the meeting.
