Breaking: Soldier Killed, Ministry of Defense Releases New Statement

On March 7, at approximately 12:40 PM, Azerbaijani armed forces units opened targeted fire towards the Armenian combat positions located in the western section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. As a result, two servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia sustained gunshot wounds. One of them, Sergeant Hrach Arami Manasyan, a contracted serviceman from the Ministry of Defense's military unit N, died while being transported to the hospital.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy grief of this loss and expresses its support to the family members, relatives, and fellow servicemen of the fallen soldier. The life of the other injured serviceman is not in danger.
