Ukrainian Army Surrenders Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station Without Resistance
The Russian National Guard has taken control of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station in Ukraine, according to a report from the service's website, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.
"At the Kakhovka hydroelectric station, which is a strategically significant facility, normal life is being restored. The security and protection of the hydroelectric station is being ensured by units of the Russian National Guard, and the employees of the station are gradually returning to their places," the statement reads.
It is emphasized that the hydroelectric station was "surrendered by the Ukrainian side without resistance, the local leaders laid down their arms and went home."
"A tactical group of the Russian National Guard, along with military personnel from the Russian Armed Forces, successfully repelled an attack by neo-Nazis who attempted to retake the station without sustaining casualties. A green corridor has been organized from Zaporizhia to Nova Kakhovka, allowing refugees to return home now," the National Guard concluded.
