Putin Reveals Initial Proposal to Kyiv Authorities During Ukraine Conflict

The Russian side proposed to the Kyiv authorities at the beginning of the military special operation in Ukraine to refrain from military actions and withdraw troops from Donbas. However, Kyiv refused this offer. This was stated today by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting concerning socio-economic support for the subjects of the Russian Federation, as reported by russian.rt.com.

“For the first time, I want to talk about this. At the very beginning of the operation in Donbas, we asked the Kyiv authorities through various channels, to avoid meaningless bloodshed, to refrain from getting involved in military actions and simply withdraw their troops from Donbas.
