Lavrov on the Process of Normalizing Relations Between Turkey and Armenia

Russia welcomes the process of normalizing relations between Turkey and Armenia, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

“Meetings have been organized between the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey. We welcome the normalization process of bilateral ties between Armenia and Turkey, and we are ready for joint efforts that will enable us to deepen cooperation between the countries of the South Caucasus,” said Lavrov.

The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that they discussed issues related to Syria, Libya, and Nagorno-Karabakh with the Turkish Foreign Minister.
