Russian Aeroflot Resumes Flights to Armenia
The largest Russian airline, Aeroflot, will resume flights to Armenia starting March 22, using domestically produced SSJ100 aircraft, the airline has announced.
Aeroflot is opening ticket sales for daily regular flights to Yerevan. The flights to Armenia will restart on March 22, 2022, and will be operated by the Sukhoi Super Jet 100 aircraft.
It is noteworthy that following the commencement of the special military operation in Ukraine, Aeroflot suspended its flights to several dozen countries, including Armenia. These decisions were influenced by Western sanctions that directly affected the airline’s leased foreign-made aircraft.
