President of the Armenian Union in Luhansk on the Current Situation

Almost all of our compatriots have been evacuated from Luhansk, and only a few remain. We are in Lysychansk, and the situation has worsened significantly since our last conversation. This was stated by Sergey Arushanyan, the President of the Armenian Union in Luhansk, in an interview with 24News, addressing the situation created by the Russian-Ukrainian hostilities.

Arushanyan mentioned that the local Armenians have been relocated to various parts of Ukraine, including Dnipropetrovsk and western Ukraine, to areas where the situation is relatively calm.

The President of the Armenian Union in Luhansk emphasized that despite the challenges, they are managing to resolve issues related to food, water, and heating with great difficulty. “I am sending vehicles to bring food from the Donetsk region and Dnipropetrovsk; we are managing to cope somehow. There is no ceasefire at all, and fierce battles are ongoing in Severodonetsk. We barely passed through the bombardments by car,” concluded Sergey Arushanyan.
