Kremlin Labels Incident on Channel One as Hooliganism
The appearance of a girl with a pacifist-themed poster during a live broadcast on Channel One does not relate to the Kremlin's agenda; it is hooliganism, stated presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
Regarding the girl, Peskov commented, "This is hooliganism." He emphasized that Channel One, like other leading channels in the country, is a brand of high-quality, timely, very operational, and objective information.
"There are certain agencies, certain bodies that deal with this, especially since any live broadcast from any television channel is a special platform with particular responsibilities, especially for those working there," the spokesman highlighted.
Earlier, it was reported that following this incident, the channel began an internal investigation.
Recall that yesterday, a girl with a post-war-themed poster interrupted the news studio of Channel One during a broadcast. At that moment, host Yekaterina Andreyeva was discussing Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin's plans to mitigate the effects of sanctions. It was later revealed that the woman who appeared on the live broadcast of the Russian channel, as reported by Russian and Ukrainian media, is Marina Ovsyannikova, an editor at Channel One, who has already been detained.
