Japan Extends Export Ban to Russia: What Products Are Involved
The Japanese government has expanded the list of goods and technologies that are prohibited from being exported to Russia, taking into account the situation in Ukraine, reports the country's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, as cited by RIA Novosti.
According to a press release from the Japanese government, the export ban, which will take effect on March 18, includes 218 items from the international export control list, such as semiconductors, radars, sensors, lasers, communication equipment, recording devices and their components, oscilloscopes, spectrometers, signal amplifiers, signal generators, resistors, cryptographic equipment, television cameras, optical filters, fluoropolymer fiber, and more.
Additionally, the export of parachutes, sensors, oil refining products, as well as products intended for the chemical industry and nuclear energy is also prohibited.
The export ban also applies to military products, including bulletproof vests, weapons, explosives, ships, diesel engines, missile components, and more.
