We Are Waiting for Armenia's Response, Çavuşoğlu
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, addressed Armenia during a speech at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, as reported by Ermenihaber.am.
He specifically noted that following Azerbaijan's victory in the Nagorno-Karabakh war, both Azerbaijan and Turkey emphasize the importance of peace and stability in the region.
According to the Turkish Foreign Minister, Azerbaijan has offered Armenia a comprehensive peace agreement and they are now waiting for Armenia's response.
“When Mr. Aliyev proposed a meeting in the 3+3 format, including the three countries of the South Caucasus plus Turkey, Iran, and Russia, President Erdoğan was one of the first supporters of this idea. If relations are normalized tomorrow, why not include Armenia in that format? In my opinion, there is no need for a third party in the negotiations surrounding the peace treaty. We support every step taken between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan also supports the process we are carrying out with Armenia,” Çavuşoğlu stated, emphasizing that they consult with Azerbaijan on every issue and that will continue in future processes.
