Death Toll and Injuries Reported from Donetsk Strike by Tochka-U
The strike on Donetsk by a Tochka-U missile is considered a criminal act by Ukrainian authorities, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Luhansk People's Republic. Donetsk Mayor Alexey Kuulemzin had earlier reported that a Ukrainian Tochka-U missile had struck near the Government House in the city center.
Later, the DNR territorial defense headquarters reported 20 fatalities and nine injuries, while the DNR Ministry of Health cited 16 deaths and 23 hospitalizations. Preliminary data from DNR leader Denis Pushilin indicated that the number of injured had reached 26, including one child. Pushilin also declared that the strike on Donetsk by Ukrainian forces using a Tochka-U missile constituted a war crime by Kyiv.
