Russia Lifts Flight Restrictions to Eight Countries, Including Armenia

Russia has lifted the flight restrictions imposed due to the pandemic on Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Iran, reports "Rosaviatsiya."

According to a government decision dated March 9, 2022, the previously imposed restrictions on both regular and irregular flights to these countries as part of preventive measures have been removed.

Flights will be conducted on a reciprocal basis in accordance with the provisions of the intergovernmental agreements on air traffic and separate agreements between aviation authorities.

"When carrying out regular and irregular flights, airlines must comply with the provisions of the order No. 7 of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation dated March 18, 2020, on ensuring isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19," notes the Federal Air Transport Agency.
