Putin Agrees to the Idea of Involving Volunteers in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to the idea of involving volunteers in Ukraine. “If you see that there are people who want to come and help the people living in Donbas on a voluntary basis, especially not for money, then that is very good. You should meet them halfway and assist them in getting to the war zone,” he said during a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.

The country’s leader stated that “Western sponsors” do not conceal their recruitment of mercenaries to participate in the conflict: “They do it openly, disregarding all norms of international law.”
