Kyiv Reports Russia is Implementing 'Syrian Scenario' in Ukraine

Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelensky's office, claims that the demilitarization operation in Ukraine is an attempt to implement a 'Syrian scenario.' This was reported by RIA Novosti.

The Russian military operation in Syria began in September 2015 with the consent of Damascus, following a request from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. As a result, much of the country's territory was regained, and the largest terrorist group, the ‘Islamic State,’ which is banned in Russia, was defeated.

‘This indicates an attempt to implement the Syrian scenario in Ukraine,’ Podolyak wrote on Twitter.
